Things to do on a fall day In Central Alberta.
There is so much to see and do in Central Alberta in any season. Recently
I had an opportunity to take some time off with a few friends and enjoy a round
of golf. Sure there was a frost delay as there are in many areas across
Canada this time of year, but it was worth it. One of the joys of golfing
is enjoying the outdoors, and taking in the scenic views of a well cared for
course. Another is by the end of the season we generally have an improved
game from the spring.
We drove south from Red Deer through Penhold, and onto Innisfail. The
Innisfail Golf Course is one that is always well cared for, and offers some
spectacular views no matter the season, and a fun yet challenging round of
golf. If you are visiting or new to the area and haven't had the pleasure
of visiting Innisfail and the golf course I encourage you to do so, I'm sure
you'll enjoy it as much as I do.

Often Red Deer is the focus of attention and spotlight in Central Alberta.
Deservedly so, as it is the third largest city in Alberta. However, one of
the great things about living and enjoying Red Deer is the number of neighboring
communities that add to year round enjoyment. Innisfail is quite smaller
than Red Deer but offers a lot of charm, and access to some fantastic
facilities, and affordable fun. Located south of Red Deer by approx 25 km,
the short drive down 2A or the QE2 and your at the access to a premier golf
course, and a gateway to Lake Glennifer, and the West country. The town
boasts a curling rink, twin ice arena, indoor swimming pool, baseball diamonds,
a bowling alley, ski hill, hiking trails, cross-country ski trails, 12 horseshoe
pits, 3 asphalt tennis courts, and of course a fantastic golf course.
Be sure to take a tour around Central Alberta, and you'll find a community that
