PINAWA....The Little Town That Gets Around

Congratulations!!  Pinawa curler, Leslie Wilson, curling with the Cathy Overton-Clapham rink, made provincial curling history winning the Manitoba Scottties again this year.  She went to the National Championships representing Manitoba last year as well.  She left Team Manitoba after the nationals and was scooped up by Overton-Clapham who was building her own team, after her split from Team Canada.

Congratulations as well to Lesle Cafferty, who plays second on the Joelle Brown rink.  The Brown rink curled well and made it to the tie-breakers on Saturday.

In true Pinawa fashion, friends, fans and fellow curlers held a celebration honouring the ladies at the curling club last week.  We all wish the Overton-Clapham rink the best of luck at the National Championships coming up in Charlottetown at the end of the month.  We'll all be watching with a great deal of pride!
