Metro Moncton Real Estate market stays strong
Contrary to all the doom and gloom hear from the National media, our real estate market remains strong. At the end of July, year to date listings were up 4%, and the dollar volume was up 8%. Our number of units sold was off a bit at 5%, but the increased prices kept our volumes good. This is compared to the 2007 numbers which was a continuation of several years of record volumes. Our average sale price is now $157,938 vs $153,337 last July.
So things are still doing well here. The economy remains strong, especially in Metro Moncton, unemployment is very low and life is good regardless of what's happening in the big cities west of here.
