Personal Background
Being raised and schooled in Prince Edward County and then attending university in Toronto, I realized that returning to 'the County' was the right move for me. Meeting a variety of people with varied backgrounds has been enriching. Through friends in the area, I have experienced traveling down the Erie Canal to New York City by sail boat. Raced in local regattas, played golf at the many courses in the Quinte region as well as enjoyed playing Pinehurst #2 in North Carolina, which has hosted 2 US Opens.
The smaller town life has also given me the opportunity to get involved locally, especially through the Rotary Club of Picton, where we generate dollars for worthwhile causes both locally and internationally. By sitting on the boards of various Clubs, I have an acute sense of their operations and logistics. Being involved in the community is one of the best networking tools one can have.
