People hate to be sold....but they love to buy.
Understanding this idea is the key to appealing to buyers.
Thanks to the 10,000 footsteps a month in Toronto's most unique lofts over the last decade, I've seen all I need to see to elevate our loft spaces into the world class category.
Right now, most are NOT there.
For close to a decade, some of the most prominent loft owners in Toronto have ...

Early in my career I learned a valuable aspect about how marketing works:
Less than 5% of available spaces ever get advertised
This was back in the early 2000s...before Craiglist...before Facebook...before Twitter.....
Has it changed much? Not really.
The first series of tours I developed to show case the OTHER 95% was my "10loftsinaday" tours via LoftSellers.ca
This has helped hundreds of ...

Don't let the celebs get all the perks during TIFF...so should you.
Over the years, we have seen so many celebs on my loft tours that it's time to make a contest of it.
From Sept 9 to 19, if you see any celebs in downtown Toronto , take a pic & send me a tweet with @loftsellers in the msg, you name will be added to a draw for 500 Air Miles Credits that you can redeem when buying or ...

It seems that every few months, I realize that many people are NOT aware of the some of the tax benefits of moving for work or school reasons AND that being a landlord is 100% tax deductible on your claimed rental property.
1. RELOCATING 40+ KM FOR WORK OR SCHOOL
The Government of Canada allows you to claim your moving expenses when moving for work or school if more than 40km. If you dont think ...

The reality is that you don't want the WRONG people to know you are selling your home. Due to the changes in the industry in 2010, defining the pros and cons of handling a six figure transaction has become more important than ever.
As a real estate consultant, if you cannot prove your value in THIS market...you have no place in it.
As a seller, you have ALWAYS had the option of selling on your ...

Over the last few months, the market has become a balanced market similar to the early 2000s.
This has taken many homeowners by surprise who are hoping for multiple offers similar to the last few years.
Something else has happened for the smart buyers I work with.
Many of them are exploring areas of growth and selected new construction projects that are in the priced within my suggested new ...

Thinking of selling?
Not sure if your area is hot right now?
Today alone of the 11 reports solds I see on my screen...
9 are in the C08 area (St Lawrence Market, Distillery) and 2 in the E01 (Leslieville) area.
If you live in either of these areas and are thinking of moving in 2010, now is the time that buyers are looking!!

This is in fact a true story. Its my own story.
A few years ago we owned a home that was valued at approx $300k and cost us about $1500 a month in mortgage costs.
With a growing family, we knew we needed more space.
Do we build up, move?? Regardless of how many hundreds of moves I have helped people with, the idea of spending too much money on a house never made sense.
Until...we ...

Yesterday my amazing loft sellers at the Quad Lofts (www.19BrantSt.com) in the downtown (c01) core had the chance to be interviewed by a major media outlet and the state of Toronto Real Estate.
Never one to miss the chance of putting my clients in the spotlight, they did the interview. Exposure is good. Period.
The one aspect of the recent story about how the market has slowed down in ...
