Important house-proofing tips for all during vacation periods

As harmless as the back of this washing machine may appear, it could ruin your life. If either of these pipes burst when you are away, it could be the worst water disaster you could have avoided.

Here are a few tips to remember for ANYONE who is leaving their home for more than 3 days:

  1. Turn off the water supply to your washer and dryer. Its easy and if you dont know how, learn now.
  2. Change the supply tubes to your washing machine once every 5 years. Dont be cheap either. Get the best ones possible ($20).
  3. Also turn off the water supply to your dishwasher OR fridge. The shut off valve should be under your sink.
