On any given day, I am privileged to help smart buyers & sellers research new neighbourhoods. Aside from my personal opinions, I always like to add any relevant data to the mix.
This study was created by St. Michael’s Hospital & Urban Heart Toronto and evaluates 140 Toronto neighbourhoods and how they rank in various health categories.
Having worked in the health industry for 10 years of my life, I truly believe health comes before wealth.
This WHO (World Health Organization) report is one to keep handy for anyone researching neighbourhoods.
The categories measured include social assistance, unemployment, diabetes, low income, marginalization, high school graduation, post secondary completion, community places for meeting, walkscore, healthier food stores, municipal voting, diabetes, premature mortality, mental health & preventable hospitalization.
