Everyday I travel down the Hammonds Plains Road from Maplewood (subdivision between White Hills and Glen Arbour) to my office here in Bedford. Traffic just past the Kearney Lake exit has been getting slower and slower. Trucks, drilling machines, and manpower have been observed along the road for several months now. Finally, with my trusted administrator assistant & photographer, Lisa, we decided to venture down to see what the heck was going on.
One of the Entrances to Bedford West Area. This was way the trucks are presently accesses the worksite. Symonds Drive - by the Hot Tub/Patio Furniture Store.
Another entrance - RIM building. Loads of construction has been a results of this large development. The Bedford Beacon stated on Marck 5, 2009: "According to the person we spoke with, there are currently 500 employees working at the 150,000 square-foot Bedford building, located off of Hammonds Plains Road next to Highway 102. RIM will eventually have up to 1,200 employees working at the building."
Rumours have been heard that another RIM building is scheduled to be constructed in the future in the same area off of the Hammonds Plains Road.

Loads and loads of dirt, blasting, trucks, man hours....I just can't wait to see the finished product.

Northwood Continuing Care Centre - Bedford West The website states: "The atmosphere, greenery and setting will allow residents to live in a more ‘home-like' environment, thereby enhancing quality of health and life."

Okay - wow - this is what I've been getting a brief glimpse of as I drive down the road. I've been wondering what these strange peaks were. This is one very interesting peice of real estate. Lisa and I explore further for additional information. We discover that this is a project by the Northwood Continuing Care, Bedford.
