Thorburn is Airdries "lake " community that offers paths that wind around the lake with  picnic tables.

Thorburn was initially started in the early 1980's  and further development started in the 1990's and up to 2008.

This is an upscale community on the east side of Airdrie bordering Meadowbrook to the south, farmers fields to the east and east lake to the north,  There are plenty of walking paths and parks.
