Real estate can be a full time profession or a part time opportunity. Many new real estate professionals have this question how can they be more productive while working part time or from home as a real estate professional. Recent research has shown that working from home not only enhances productivity but also impacts the performance. Some the tips I would recommend to work from home especially as a real estate sales professional:

Concentrate: Resist the urge to watch television, movies or engage in long conversation with your  family members. Since you are in a comfortable environment concentration can be easily hampered play light music or radio to set the similar mood as your office desk.

Connect: If you are working from home for a couple of days make sure you communicate via email with the colleagues you work closely at work. Also don’t forget to mention your phone number and availability incase there is an emergency.

Desk: Having a desk is very important, this not only helps you to concentrate better, but also helps you keep organised. If you do not work from home quite often then you can use the dining table or the small table in the living room. However if you regularly work from home then having a table and some space either in a part of your room or in the basement as a office space is the ideal approach.

Get away: If you have a quiet coffee place or library nearby  that is the best location. However as the field of real is diverse all offices give real estate professionals access round the clock as often client meetings happen on weekends and in the evenings.

Dress: Wearing professional clothes not only puts you in a work mode, but also gets you prepared if you have to visit the office in case of an emergency or your colleagues need to reach out to you via video conferencing via Skype or Google Hangouts.

Working hours: Like an office plan a set of working hours with a designated time for lunch and coffee breaks this practice not only keeps you more organised but also helps to set boundaries that although you are at home there are certain obligation you should be following when you are working.

Working from home helps to get more work done as there are limited distractions and can be controlled. I hope these productivity tips help you leverage more benefits for all real estate sales professionals working from home.Real estate can be a full time profession or a part time opportunity.
