Fall in the Annapolis Valley

As the summer ended there was a flurry of local fairs that showcased the work of the local 4H clubs, bakers and quilt makers. The work displayed was beyond belief and definitely showed that folks in the Valley have many talents, also they are willing to share their expertise with those wishing to learn. Currently many of the farms are working diligently to bring in the harvest and prepare for the coming winter. The local vineyards are also putting their crop to use and of course offering past years bounty. The quality of the local wines is excellent and I have bragged to all I meet just how good things are in the Valley wine industry. Within 25 minutes of Greenwood you can visit Gaspereau, L'acadie, Blomidon and Grand Pre vineyards. Keep an ear out for the events they host in order to promote their wares and on occasion local restaurants as well. Enjoy the colour of the leaves, the bounty of the farm harvests and the easy way of life that is the Annapolis Valley.
