GTA detached home sales jump in April
Sales of detached homes jumped 22 per cent across the GTA in April. The strong demand, fueled partly by greenbelt policies and increasing immigration, has pushed the average detached home price to $831,214 in the 416 region in April, and $579,278 in the 905 regions.
Just one new house is being built for every three condos now, compared to a decade ago when three condos were being built for every house.
