A love of real estate
A native ‘Townshipper’, Rebecca knows the region inside out. And she knows houses, too, having recently renovated her own home, along with husband Robby.
Given her lifelong love of real estate, it comes as no surprise that one of Rebecca’s favourite pastimes over the years has been exploring the back roads of the area, checking out the local housing inventory. At last! She’s enjoying putting her hobby to good use!
Eastern townships real estate market
The market in the townships been very strong in the past ten years with price and sales steadily rising even through recession. The quality of life has continuously attracted buyers over the years and will continue to do so. Buyers are willing to pay a premium, however expect quality for their investment in this post-recession era. The turnover of houses in the townships is much lower than that of large cities. Families and retirees represent the majority of the community and they tend to settle for longer. Selling a home in this climate has made it imperative to have an extensive marketing strategy that goes beyond just listing a house on the MLS and waiting for the phone to ring.
Personal work ethic, integrity and life philosophy also set Rebecca apart. A volunteer month in Nicaragua, digging irrigation ditches and harvesting crops, strengthened her belief in the value of family, community, teamwork and perseverance.
Personable, honest, reliable, trustworthy, hard-working… So many words describe Rebecca. But her favourite is “Mom”. To young son Holden, born July 2009 and daughter Kaelin born September 2011, Rebecca is a devoted and energetic mother – an experience that is teaching her still more practical life skills, every day.
Aside from her knowledge of the market, Rebecca brings a trained eye and solid skills to her work. A graduate of Dawson College’s Professional Photography Program (2003), she is uniquely equipped to present a house to advantage, and the benefits to clients are there for all to see.
Rebecca for many years also worked in Knowlton at Bromewood, an up-market garden design and flower store. Her role as Manager took advantage of her love of people and her desire to help them realize their dreams, and helped her hone her already considerable listening skills
