I made a big decision this week. Take time for me and get myself healthier. I tend to put myself on the back burner and always put others in my life before the needs of myself. Im a woman, don't we all do that ???
My bone specialist suggested I take up water exercise. Sure I can do that I thought. No problem. I found a facility that has a pool so I went in and signed up for 6 months. I tried to attend a class yesterday but they got my class times confused.
I made it to class this morning and was greeted by lovely older ladies in the changing room. Some reminded me of my Gramdma, others were closer to my age.
I thought I heck if these ladies can do it, so can I. I put on my very fashionable pool shoes (pink and black) and got in the line up of these lovely ladies and made our way to the pool. I was surprised how many people were here.
The music started and my self awareness slowly left and I got into the music and followed the teacher pretty closely. I forgot how much I liked to dance (even in water up to my armpits). Splish splash I went.
I got though the whole class, and was proud of myself. I can't wait to go back.
If your looking for a interesting fun way to get in your workout, I highly suggest water exercise. You go at your own speed and ability, and you get to meet and talk to some very interesting people.
