My name is Laura Cimperman, I am a new Real Estate Sales Representative and I am thrilled to begin my real estate career with the Century 21 Reynard Real Estate Ltd. office here in Kenora! Having lived in several cities within the U.S., Canada and Europe, I have a lot of experience working with people from all different backgrounds. While I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio I then attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Art History and the Visual Arts. I also spent two summers working in and around Washington D.C., but discovered my passion for Italian culture while studying abroad in Tuscany. I went on to spend 14 months in Siena, Italy (over the course of six years), which allowed me to learn the language and culture, all while living like a local. Since college I became certified to teach English as a second language and have accumulated professional experience as an Italian interpreter, administrative assistant, and a writer/editor.
After spending several years in Calgary with my fiancé, we decided to start our new career together in his hometown of Kenora. Although bigger cities offer excitement and variety of things to do, I’ve found that small towns like Kenora offer a feeling of home and community that are hard to find in urban settings. I’m very excited to start this new chapter of my life in a town so many people call “home” and I look forward to working with both new and lifelong members of the community!
In my leisure time I enjoy reading non-fiction books on everything from personal improvement to spiritual enlightenment to health and diet. I have practiced yoga on a regular basis for many years and have made health and wellbeing a priority in my life. As the age-old saying goes, “home is where the heart is,” and I’m excited not only to help my clients with every step of the transaction, but also to help you find a house you can truly call “home.”
