It has been extremely cold over the Christmas holiday and activity has slowed in the Real Estate world. Typically we see an increase in interest from buyers by mid January. We get accustomed to the fact that winter is here and we move on with our lives.
From a Buying prospective cold weather is not a bad thing. It gives you a chance to see a home in the harshest conditions. You will very quickly find out how well the home is insulated, are the widows adequate, are there lots of icicles hanging from the roof, is it drafty and many other things that don't show up on a warm and sunny day in June.
So don't let the cold temperatures deter you from buying a home, it may be the best time!
