With spring here I hope to have the float plane back in the water in the next week or two. This of course will only be used for work, no goofing off on a nice summer afternoon just to see the sights or wet a fishing line, that would be irresponsible!

This will be the last trip on the ice road for me this season. With the warm weather and rain some of the roads are starting to look like rivers.

Minaki Lodge, February 10th 2010. Very little has happened at this property since the fire in October of 2003. It's changed hands once or twice but has never been re-opened in any form. It is a shame that it has remained dormant for the past six years. Lets hope we see some activity in 2010!

Spent some time on Lake of the Woods this afternoon on it's ice road. Things look complete different during the winter than on the water in the summer. There's still no other place like it winter or summer.
