Students in grades 5 to 8 choose options of a variety of athletic activities including, but not limited to: hockey, cross-country skiing, bowling, karate, baseball, flag-football, lacrosse, volleyball, golf and curling. This program begins in October and runs until the middle of June. King George also offers an on-site daycare for ages 18 months - 6 years old. KENORA FITNESS CENTRE
The Kenora fitness centre has received extensive renovations over the past few years. The fitness centre is located in the heart of the Lakeside/Central neighbourhood offering several different fitness opportunities from the arena, pool area, walking track, and fitness centre. The fitness centre is equipped with 30 workout stations, and has a certified fitness consultant on staff. The Recreation Centre arena will be hosting the Allan Cup in 2011.
