The City of Kenora is surrounded by several rural areas, some on small lakes, such as Longbow, Hilly, Muriel Lake. Other rural properties are located outside of the city limits however are not located on the water, these properties offer peaceful surroundings, with lots of wildlife. Depending on the rural area of town, city services might not be available. In these cases owners will draw water from the lake, or a well, and use a septic system for sewer. Kenora is a vastly wooded area and the rural parts of the city offer a peaceful living experience, yet are no more then a half hour to the city limits. Prices in the rural areas can range anywhere from $100,000 to $250,000 depending on its location, what services are provided, and if the property is on a small lake.
