This is one of 2 of Kenora's newer subdivisions. The homes in South Park Estates are newer homes, some of which back onto the Kenora Golf Course. The subdivision offers a playground area for children to play. This newer subdivision is located in walking distance to shopping, beaches, and the Kenora Golf Course. South Park Estates is within walking distance to a elementary school and students are eligable for busing service to either of the Kenora High Schools. 

King George School - King George was originally built in 1952, but underwent extensive renovations in 1995.  King George has a student body of approximately 240 students in grades Junior Kindergarten to Grade 8. This small school has many wonderful advantages, it offers the unique and very popular Athletic and Recreational Program on a weekly basis.  Students in grades 5 to 8 choose options of a variety of athletic activities including, but not limited to:  hockey, cross-country skiing, bowling, karate, baseball, flag-football, lacrosse, volleyball, golf and curling.  This program begins in October and runs until the middle of June. King George also offers an onsite daycare for ages 18 months - 6 year olds. Beaver Brae Secondary School: Beaver Brae is home to approx. 900 students in grades 9-12 and over 65 dedicated staff members. The High School offers all types of educational opportunities, including outstanding trades, college, and university level programs. Beaver Brae Secondary School prides itself on a course calendar that boasts nearly 200 courses. St. Thomas Aquinas High School: Is the only Catholic high school west of Thunder Bay in the province of Ontario. They are a grade 7 to 12 school, in the Catholic tradition, dedicated to excellence in education and the Christian formation of youth.  KENORA GOLF COURSE:

Situated minutes from South Park Estates,  on the shore of beautiful Lake of the Woods, the Kenora Golf & Country Club boasts a challenging 18 hole course accessible by land and water.

The Club offers a fully stocked Pro Shop, a driving range, practice green, and two qualified CPGA Golf Professionals for instruction. The lounge and restaurant overlooks scenic Golf Course Bay as well as the course and features breakfast, lunch and dinner selections for both golfers and the public.

NEARBY BEACH:

South Park Estates is conveniently located near Anicinabe Beach. This park has a beautiful sand beach, playground, and washroom facilities. Anicinabe Park offers a camping area.
