5 Things To Do On Thanksgiving weekend in Brampton

Thanksgiving is all about getting together as a family and catching up with your loved ones. Some of us do prefer to go to Toronto, Mississauga while others enjoy the fun activities in Brampton. There are a ton of activities lined up that kids and adults can enjoy this Thanksgiving weekend. If you want to not miss the major attractions here are a few recommendations to make 2O14 Thanksgiving memorable for you and your family.

  1. Farmer’s Market: As summer has faded away and fall is here the farmer’s market will be here in Brampton for the last week. So if you like fresh produce, freshly baked goods, maple syrup at its purest, handcrafted merchandise. Along with the food there will be some entertainment between 10 am to 12pm.

  2. Pumpkin Art: The Brampton Downtown Development Corporation will be providing children with a pumpkin, along with supplies, to get creative and decorate on site from 8 am to 1pm don’t miss this chance be there early.

  3. Apple Picking: If you missed the apple picking chance this summer there is still time to catch up drop by Berryview Farms for the pick-you-own experience and enjoy a tractor-drawn wagon rides to the orchard or the pumpkin patch. Fresh-pressed apple cider is also available.  

  4. Hiking: Fall is the perfect time of year for hike with loved ones. Pack a light lunch, grab your camera and head out for an afternoon on the trails. Heart Lake Conservation Area offers  more than eight kilometres of scenic nature trails and a playground for the kids.

  5. Art gallery: Bring the family for a tour of the newly opened Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archive. Take in the current exhibits, then drop by the studio on the lower level where families can create their own art especially for the Thanksgiving weekend.
