August Breezes

As any Islander will tell you, summer ends after Old Home Week; the early August celebration of Agriculture, Harness Racing culture and low culture that happens every year in Charlottetown while it is still warm.  As August ages there a definate change in the weather as the air starts to move around in big swirls and the hot and humid days of July give way to the winds move around the compass to come harder and stronger from the Northwest.

Maybe its the wind, maybe its the lengthening evenings but as the air clears peoples' minds clear with it and we see a welcome pick-up in the Real Estate market.  Its a very good time to buy a home in PEI as Mortgage Interest Rates are at historic lows with 5 Year rates as low as 3.69% widely available. The good conditions have given rise to a bumper crop of saleable inventory; Homes, Acreages, Lots, Mobiles and New Construction are all plentiful and sellers are motivated, they can feel the sharp edge of the late August breezes that echo the approaching winter winds.  Everyone wants to get their business done before hunkering down with a crackling fire for a couple of cool, quiet months of winter weather.

Those who live here all year know that this is the best place in the world to live, especislly after the summer crowds have moved on, and you can get your piece of that "Bestness" now by calling me and my compadres at Century 21 Colonial Realty and letting us find your piece of the Dream.  902 566 2121
