I started in the Industry, with my Family Firm in 1972 and I am still going strong.  I have seen many changes in our market place which has grown from 40,000 residents to its current size. My client base included third generation people going back to transactions my father was involved in in the 50's and 60's. Real Estate is all about  relationships  and that is the message I bring to my Clients.  Meeting the wants and needs of my clients and aspiring to be a customer service professional is a message that has stood the test of time. Real Estate--A Primary Career Choice

How quickly the years go by.  It seems like only yesterday I was studying for my final exam in SHAKESPEREAN ENGLISH ( All 26 plays) and planning to go to Teachers College to pursue my goal of becoming a high school teacher. My friends at Wilfrid Laurier also had dreams of becoming accountants and business leaders and social workers and/and/and.  After receiving my degree in English and History the stark reality of the world came visiting in the form of NO TEACHING JOBS.  This is after I had invested 6 months teaching in a classroom at Preston High School and was about to go to teachers college in London.  Fortunately, my father had been a real estate broker in Kitchener-waterloo for 20+ years.  I sat down with him and asked him what satisfaction he got from this job.  His answer was a simple one: PEOPLE.  He said he was in the people business and homes happened to be the product.  He said that he took great pride in watching families move in; raise the kids; celebrate festive seasons.  He also said that if you treat people the way they expected to be treated, that will come back to you ten fold.  After a number of days of deliberation I decided to enter the world of the Real Estate.  More years than I care to remember, later.... after serving as a Director and President of The Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board, I can truly say that my Dad was right.
