I have always been proud to call my brother and business partner, Lorne, a distinguished Realtor. But others seem to agree with me. At this year’s MREA annual meeting he was given the "Distinguished Realtor" award, presented each year by CMHC.
Lorne has spent most of his 26 years in real estate giving back to the community he loves. He has served on numerous boards both at Winnipeg Realtors as well as MREA. He has served as president of both organizations and has also been on the Board of the Canadian Real Estate Association. His passion is truly evident in the political action he steers with regards to removing the education levy from property taxes, and urging Insurance Brokers to revisit their position on knob and tube wiring. He is someone who shares his knowledge and understanding of these issues with others involved and is constantly a “go to” person for other realtors. I am proud of my brother for many reasons but I am especially proud that others recognize that he is, indeed, a "Distinguished Realtor".
