Carp is getting ready for its first-ever Santa Claus Parade. The Huntley Community Association has been working hard getting everything in place for the big event with approximately 30 floats registered.
The parade is scheduled to take place Saturday, Dec. 12 at 1 p.m.
The parade will begin on Rivington Street, make its way down Carp Road through the community, before ending at the Huntley Mess Hall, located at 224 Craig Side Rd. A little gathering for young children will take place after the parade at the mess hall with snacks and a special visit from Santa Claus.
The Fire Department will be pushing grocery carts along the parade route accepting food donations. All the donations will be going to the West Carleton Food Cupboard. So please bring non-perisheable food items to help out the Food Cupboard.
Carp Road will be closed at March Road to Thomas Dolan as the parade passes through the heart of the village.
Its surely an event not to miss!
