I recently helped a couple of clients purchase their first home ,they happened to be condominiums. Buying a condo is a great way to enter into the real estate market but it is not always about the facade of the building. There are a number of factors to consider that clients do not think about.
1. Visitor parking: How much is there and where is it located. Many downtown condos are limited or your guests may have to pay to visit you.
2. What are the amenities and where are they located? Are you the only building sharing the pool, exercise room, party room etc.
3. Concierge : Are they on site or off in another building? I recently came across a building where the concierge was off site. In addition, where in the building are they located.
4. Layout of the building : Does the building flow in terms of location of amentities, elevators etc. Are you wondering the halls to find elevators?
There is so much more to consider when buying a condo other than the unit and location.
