Personal Background
Born in the Netherlands (the Hague) Rom graduated with a degree in Corporate Law at Erasmus University in Rotterdam and became a spokesman for over 400 businesses (i.e. Crown Packaging, Unilever, Basf, Philips & Heineken).
He fulfilled several executive positions while still in Holland and after researching the North American market and lifestyle, Rom immigrated to Canada in 1993. He developed, patented and produced a unique retractable truck canopy for pick-up trucks that was marketed and sold to dealerships and distributors in Canada and the United States.
Professional Background
After developing skills in sales, negotiation and customer service for 16 years in North America and Western Europe, it was time for Rom to pursue the "ultimate" career change: Real Estate. Rom started with Royal LePage, Kelowna, in 2002 then moved to the Century 21® Real Estate network in 2004. Century 21® is the largest real estate Company in the world with over 7800 offices in 45 countries.
In 2003 Rom started ReloCan Holdings Inc. to provide a One-Stop Relocation Centre for clients within and outside of Canada. From customized finance tools to finding the appropriate home, Rom assists Buyers with all their relocation needs. The combination of ReloCan and Century21 provides his Sellers a wider scope of prospective Buyers, which means selling their home or business faster and for top dollar.
Personal Interests
When he is not working, Rom likes to spend time with his family, his kids, Marnie, Maaike and Alexander, enjoying the outdoors, play tennis and enjoys playing the piano or listening to music.
