Hard to believe it but the PNE the Pacific National Exhibition starts tomorrow morning in Vancouver at Hastings Park at the corner of Hastings Street and Renfrew Street. Will the B.C. government harmonize the Federal Sales Tax (GST) 5 % and the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) 7% into one 12 % tax starting July 1st, 2010 ? What effect will this have on the B.C. economy and the Vancouver real estate market ? Other provinces like Ontario are planning to harmonize the 2 taxes as well.

Well at last the Canada Line skytrain will open on Monday August 17th, 2009. After many many years of construction and grid lock on Cambie Street, West Broadway,Davie Street, Granville Street and others the skytrain will open which will be great news for commuters and people travelling to the Airport YVR.
