I went to Jacobs & Co Steakhouse for a friend's birthday. I love steak and I've been to many steahouses in Toronto. By far Jacobs & Co Steakhouse is the best steak in Toronto. They have a huge variety of steaks from an aged 38 days ribeye to a 48 days striploin, from Canadian prime steaks to Australian Wagyu steaks. Regardless of the type of steak you get, I'm sure you'll love it!! If you like steaks and you think Ruth Chris Steakhouse, Terras, The Keg, etc. are really good then you are missing out!!
They start off your meal with a puff type of bread in a skillet. It was nice and hot when it arrived at our table. The bread had a hint of garlic and wasn't too oily, but it was so delicious and yummy, we asked for more. We also ordered casaer salad which they make in front of you starting with their homemade dressing from scratch. Who knew they use a raw egg and anchovies to make the dressing?! I ordered an aged 38 days 14oz ribeye. I ordered it medium well and it was so tender and juicy. No blood at all when I was cutting through the steak. Before the steak arrived, they would bring out different types of seasoning salt and sauces you can use on your steak. My steak tasted so perfect that I didn't use the seasoning salt at all. According to my friends who used the seasoning salt, they said it made their steak too salty and that it's not necessary to use the salt at all. Of course from eating so much bread, I took the rest of my steak home. My steak tasted even better the next day. When you ask for the bill, they bring you some chocolates and each person get to bring a muffin to take home. The muffins were pretty good. Very moist.
I would higly recommend Jacobs if you love steaks and don't mind spending over $100 per person. I would definitely go back!! The plus for me is that it's also close to my office.
