I went to try the award winning Hong Kong Style Milk Tea in Scarborough with my parents. Harvey Lin from Toronto and co-owner of Marathon Donuts & Coffee Shop won the title of “Milk Tea King” at the annual International Milk Tea Competition that was held in Hong Kong. Many people were excited that someone from Toronto won amongst many people around the world. Not only that, but it’s so close to home, that even I can go try it myself. I have seen this donut shop several times since my childhood and who knew that this donut shop who has been here for years would win the title of “Milk Tea King?!”. The place was packed and with many people getting take outs also; probably trying it for the first time or loving the tea. I must say that I am not an avid drinker of Hong Kong Milk Tea, but the tea was good. Not very strong or sweet. It was very light actually, but never the less, I tried it. I would go back again. If you want to try it, but don't want to drive to Scarborough, they opened one in Richmond Hill on East Beaver Creek.
