Many of us across this great nation have enjoyed beautiful temperatures and a wonderful summer.  All overwhelmed at how quickly the summer came and went.  We are now praying for a lovely fall with warm autumn days.  As we get ready for winter, take the time to prepare our homes and do not leave it for the last minute.

Windows, doors, evases, check them all. Rake the leaves that's always fun. Have the furnace serviced, it only seems to break when the temperatures dip to minus.  Gather firewood for the fireplace if you still have a woodburning one.  Get winter tires on the car and get it services as well.  Do a little clean up around the yard, string your Christmas lights up and from now until Christmas turn them on for every birthday or celebration.  Fun and lights up and lifts your spirit.

Stock up on your favourite things, get in the spirit and celebrate Thanksgiving.  Visit the Farmer's market in your area.  Cook a turkey its easy. If you are cook a faux turkey.  Get everyone to join in for Thanksgiving Dinner accept the help and have them cook and bring a favourite recipe of Grandma or Great Grandma.

Enjoy the simply things go for a walk and remember it's really cool and trendy to dress in layers, wrap a scarf, wear gloves and get a pair of warm boots.  We are so lucky to be able to dress warm and in layers.

Just a simple new inexpensive scarf can update your winter coat.  Take the time to create simple warm memories with your family and friends.
