Why live in a small town? Well, since I have lived in a few small towns, I can tell you. First there are no traffic line ups, there are no line ups at the drug store or the grocery store. Downtown is 3 or 4 blocks away, the arena is down the street, the pool is around the corner, the school is just over there and the hospital is that way, yes you can see it from here. But seriously, small towns do have there advantages, everyone knows you and your children, and everyone watches out for each other. Your kids can walk to school and go to their friends house and mom doesn't have to panic. Mom can stay at home with the kids or get a nice little part-time job at the local bank, post-office, or store. How is this possible, one of the largest expenses for a family is their home. Housing is usually considerably lower priced than bigger centers, making the financial strain on the family less. If dad works away from home, why not live in a smaller community.
