Old Milton - Milton, ON
Old Milton was built mainly between 1850 and 1890. Its boundaries are Bronte St S - Railroad Tracks - Thompson Rd - Robert St/Nipissing Rd.
Old Milton is home some of the most spectacular Heritage Homes in Ontario. Beautiful Victorian architecture gives elegance and character to many downtown streets. Today, these magnificent homes are protected by the Milton Historical Society.
The area also boasts walking distance to downtown Milton with incredible architecture in the old stores and churches. The Main Street is closed every Saturday morning from 7am to noon for the Milton Farmers Market from May to October. This event has been happening for over 40 years, and brings local farmers and craftspeople to the downtown core.
Main Street also offers many boutique shops and restaurants. The Milton Concert Band performs every summer in Victoria Park at the bandstand, just in front of historic Town Hall. Mill Pond is another attraction; the gazebo overlooking the water is quite popular for wedding photos. Milton Mall, with Target as the major tenant, is also located within the Old Milton neighbourhood. The GO Station is located near Main St/Thompson Rd.
Rotary Park features an outdoor swimming pool, splash pad, and baseball diamonds, as well as hiking trails around beatufiul Mill Pond.
The Bronte Meadows Park is being redesigned. Here is a link to the Town of Milton website with more information: https://www.milton.ca/en/play/brontemeadowspark.asp
