Did you know that this past Monday was what they call Blue Monday? It is apparently the saddest day of the year. Often in the winter we stay inside and become homebodies and less social than in the warmer weather months. Well just because we may have to follow a snow plow to get there, we shouldn't let ourselves fall into the Blue Monday trap, we should get out there and have fun!!
A popular fun thing to do is dinner out. Milton has so many great restaurants to chose from that debating where to go can sometimes take ages. Everyone has their favorites though and mine is Casa Americo. I discovered this place last year while out with a friend and I've returned many times since! If you're a fan of Italian food you'll be hard pressed to find better than the offerings at Casa Americo. I recommend you start with the risotto balls, you'll be hooked after the first bite!
I asked around the office here at Century 21 and discovered some other “happy things” that we can do even in the winter to keep the blues away. One of my coworkers mentioned bowling. Here in Milton we've got Champs, which offers not only bowling but also a sports bar and a little arcade. This means there is basically something for everyone all in one place. Someone else mentioned getting out and going to craft sales/vendor shows. This got me to thinking, what's available locally these days for those who like craft markets?? I discovered that Terra Nurseries hosts the Winter Market every Saturday from January 14th -March 25th and offers 70+ vendors. There are also fun activities for kids being offered as well.
So I ask you this.....with so many fun, family friendly things to do locally here in Milton, how can we possibly fall victim to Blue Monday?? I say we can't!! We'd love to know what you do here in town to chase away the blues.......please comment and let us know so we can all give your favorites a try too :)
