She commissioned Tommy Smythe, an interior designer known for his appearances on HGTV, to remodel the space to match her limited-edition Coco Chanel Bearbrick figurine, a rare collector’s item once used in Chanel window displays that has sold for upwards of $20,000 at auction. Smythe added new engineered hardwood flooring and painted the spiral staircase a black-to-white gradient, among other things.
