Now that Halloween is over, the winter season (and all of the wonderful celebrations that come with it) are fast approaching. 

The holiday season is a time for hosting and attending parties. There's no better way to spend time with your loved ones! If you're hosting an event this year you may be puzzling over the choices of food, entertainment, and decor for your special occasion.

Over the next few months I will be posting a different party themes and ideas to spice up your holiday get-together. 

This week... Fondue Feast!

There are 2 types of fondue - cheese or chocolate. the recipe for cheese fondue is below. Its perfect for an appetizer only event, or as a starter for a dinner party.



  1. Simmer wine in fondue pot. Add Swiss cheese, Gruyere cheese, 1/4 pound at a time. Stir after each addition of cheese until melted. Stir in flour. When all the cheese has melted, stir in salt and nutmeg. Serve with cut-up French bread.

  1. Combine chocolate, cream, brandy, coffee and cinnamon in a fondue pot over a low flame (or in a saucepan over low heat). Heat until melted, stirring occasionally. Serve at once.
