As we blaze through Autumn, home sales across Barrie and District are on fire - marking the sixth record month in a row! President of the Barrie & District Association of Realtors, Bruce Shipley, credits "record level demand" that has "drawn inventories down to their lowest levels in over a decade." The year-to-date number of home sales was up nearly 9% over the same period last year, and puts Barrie on track for the best year on record. The year-to-date average price for all homes sold in the region was $372,280 - an increase of nearly 10% over the same period last year. The biggest price gains were seen in Springwater - where the year-to-date average selling price was $527,897 - a 24% increase over the same period last year. Oro-Medonte posted a close second, with year-to-date average selling prices reaching $481,999 - a 14% increase over the same period last year. And the market shows no signs of slowing down as we head into November and December. Happy buying and selling!
