Personal Background

My childhood was spent in Victoria county. Both my maternal and paternal grandparents had cottages on Sturgeon Lake where the family gathered over the summers. I feel very priviliged to have grown up in the country and had all the great experiences this type of life has to offer. As an adult I bought my own cottage in the Village of Sturgeon Point. I was able to offer my  family the experience of cottage life in this great area. I now live full time in the town of Lindsay, which I love.

Professional Background

I have worked in customer service and sales for my entire career. I started investing in real estate in the 1980's, yes I'm that old! I have been buying, renovating renting and selling homes for over 25 years. I am also a professional home stager. My background led me to studying for and obtaining my real estate license.

I love working with homes and people and have the ability and experience to help you either sell your home in the quickest possible time with the fewest hassles and would also be happy to show you homes should you be looking for your first home or your retirement home and everything in between.

One of my favorite jobs as a professional real estate agent is designing and staging homes. There are varied service packages I offer to my clients. If you do decide to hire me  I can supply you with a customized market analysis that will help determine the proper way to price and market your home for the quickest and most profitable way to sell your home.

BUYER REPRESENTATION AGREEMENTS

Why do I need a buyer representation agreement?

I strongly suggest signing an agreement with a professional real estate agent that you choose. The sellers have had the benefits of exclusive representation with a listing agreement and you, as a buyer should have that right as well.

Working with one salesperson vs. a several can be positive for you in the following way:

COMMUNICATION:

It is critical that the communication between the buyer and the agent is open and consistent. I have a custom designed form that clearly outlines the type of home and price range that is right for you. If you are dealing with more than one agent this can be difficult to manage and overwhelming.

TERMS OF YOUR AGREEMENT

A written agreement clearly outlines the responsibility of the agent and the buyer in finding the right property by defining the area you wish to live in, the type of home you would like, what the commission rate will be and the length of the contract. This is the same type of contract that the sellers have with their listing agent.
