What better way to liven up the long, cold winter than with a jump into the frigid Manitoba water?
Join the Polar Bear Dare on February 25, 2012 in beautiful Lac du Bonnet (town dock) and raise funds for Manitoba's kids who are less fortunate.
The Polar Bear Dare is a new twist on an age old event. Traditionally, in a "polar bear swim", participants would voluntarily jump into frigid waters for the "thrill" and to raise funds for charity. The Polar Bear Dare follows tradition in allowing participants to voluntarily commit to jumping into the lake. Here is the twist: participants now DARE another individual to take the plunge if an agreed upon minimum amount of funds are raised! Dare your co-worker, family, friend, lawyer, accountant, doctor, coach, or teacher!!!
All proceeds from this event go to KidSport Manitoba. KidSport believes that no kid should be left on the sidelines and all kids should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. KidSport is a national charity administered by Sport Manitoba that helps to remove barriers and assist less fortunate children participate in sport... So ALL Kids Can Play!
