What you NEED to know before you hire a REALTOR®!

Two of the biggest mistakes you can make when choosing a REALTOR® are selecting one solely based on:
- Highest List Price for Your Home
- Lowest Commission
Those two criterion have very little to do with hiring a competent agent, let’s look at why.
- The Highest Suggested List Price: price is right. If it's priced to high, you might not get any showings at all; buyers will shun your home and you'll eventually end up reducing the price

What questions should I ask when interviewing a REALTOR® to list my home?
Some REALTORS® would prefer that you do not ask these questions, because the knowledge you`ll gain from their honest answers will give you an insight into what you can expect from their services. Just as in life, in Real Estate, not all things are created equal!
1. Do you cooperate with other REALTORS®?
Stacey Harrons Answer – “I cooperate with all REALTORS® to get you the highest sales price, in the fastest time with the least amount of inconvenience to you. Many buyers are already working with a REALTOR® of their choice. Generally a REALTOR® will offer a portion of the commission to other REALTORS® as an incentive to bring their clients to your home. If the REALTOR® you choose does not cooperate with other REALTORS®, they will not bring their buyers to your home. This is a huge disadvantage and will affect your homes saleability and can result in a lower sales price and a longer time to sell.”
2. More than 80% of buyers are now looking online to find there next home, what type of Advertising and marketing do you do online?
Stacey Harrons Answer – “Your property will have its own website with 21 Photos, Maps, and Information. I also include a unique domain name (www.yourpropertiesaddress.com) to provide an easy way for buyers to find your property online. 3. Do you provide regular updates and feedback on showings?

Don’t leave your property on the side lines!”
6. Do you advertise in The Winnipeg Real Estate News?
Stacey Harrons Answer – “YES!
