Requirements for Program Participation
1. You must be a Manitoba Hydro residential customer.
2. You must be the owner of the appliance and over the age of 18.
3. The appliance(s) must be located at your primary service address in a single family dwelling (Apartment, condominiums and seasonal residences do not qualify).
4. The appliance(s) must be in working condition and capable of cooling.
5. The appliance(s) must be at least 15 years old and at least 10 cubic feet or larger (Bar fridges do not qualify).
6. Up to three appliances per residence will be accepted, at least one appliance must be a refrigerator.
7. You must provide clear and safe access to your appliances for the removal team.
They will not risk injury or be able to move personal effects or modify your home
(e.g.: remove door or railings) to remove the unit(s).
Why participation is important to you
1. Free and convenient pick up of your old inefficient appliances.
2. Energy savings of over $100 per year per appliance.
3. Ensuring your appliances are recycled in the most environmentally responsible way.
