Personal Advise for the Younger Generation!
I’m sitting at my desk today pondering a topic for my Real Estate Tip. It dawned on me that I would like to communicate with the younger generation. Real Estate advise that I personally share with my two school age boys to hopefully give them ahead start when they are ready to leave the nest.
Keeping in mind that no two children are the same and in fact mine are total opposites and most have different interest and goals in life. My younger son, has liked money from a very young age and has decided not to spend it, but rather save it. Thinking about his long term goals. My older son on the other hand likes to spend money faster than he can earn it. Being a typical teenager all he sees is the short term goal. Anything motorized, new old, parts, stereo’s and on and on and on. Whoa!
This is where my personal advise comes in. What is the cost of a vehicle ? What is the cost for fuel? What is the cost for Insurance? Set your self up for life. Its ok to dream but, does it matter what you drive as a first vehicle as long as it is reliable, good on fuel and cheap for insurance. I can just see eye balls rolling with my crazy antics, but this is good free advise. Budget, save your money there will be time for the fancier toys later in life, once you build good credit and equity. Establish yourself, think practically are you going to live in your vehicle? Or better yet move out of home and throw away thousands of dollars to line someone else's pockets with rent money? Now is the time to start thinking about investing in your future. Put away, save for that down payment on your own home. Maybe you could be the one collecting the rent for a room from your friends with those awesome, fancy, souped up vehicles, etc. and they can pay your mortgage. (Just Saying)
