Alzheimer Disease

Markham is a community that offers a variety of programs that makes it a place well suited for people with different needs.

The Mosaic Home Care Services & Community Resource Center, for example, located at 2900 Steeles Avenue East, offers a free monthly program for those diagnosed with early stage Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers as an avenue for its participants to socialize, make new friends, as well as to learn more about dementia-related diseases and to keep the mind active, which has proven to be beneficial for the brain.

The events are hosted by the Alzheimer Society of York Region and are held at the Fink Link Memory Café on the last Tuesday of every month from 1pm to 2:30pm.

Come see how welcoming of a community Markham is. This may just be where you will want to call your new home. Speak to a Century 21 King’s Quay representative today!
