About Steven Bergg

A driven real estate professional with strong family values.

While travelling with the British Royal Marines Commando's Steven met his Canadian wife Annette and as a result, moved to Canada in the fall of 1992.  He immediately began to study for his Alberta Real Estate license. In the following year Steven became a member of the century 21 Byron’s Million Dollar Club. This was despite entering into the business when oil was just ten dollars a barrel causing the worst market in years!  Steven maintains learning the fundamentals of real estate at such a poor time gave him a foundation that helps him to sell property in any market conditions.

Though real estate is his passion, it’s a time consuming job when you are very successful and it can take a toll on young families. Steven took a break from being full time in the industry for several years to focus on a 9-5 career which allowed him to spend more time at home and even coach all three of his children’s sports teams.  The chosen career path was in high tech where Steven quickly rose to the executive suite becoming Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  He helped an Alberta organisation become one of Canada’s fastest success stories, growing from 11 to 80 million in sales. 

In 2007 Steven came to Kelowna as VP of Sales and Marketing for a local Internet based company which also saw massive growth during his time on the executive.  After a short time in Kelowna he decided the children were now old enough for him to move back into the real estate market full time. Steven felt his extensive real estate experience combined with the high tech marketing knowledge he had gained during his sabbatical would give his clients a distinct advantage in a market where over 90% of the buyers now use the web to decide which homes to short list and view. 

The results proved his theory correct. It quickly became apparent that the mix of Steven’s extensive real estate experience and Internet marketing savvy was exactly what clients in this area needed to beat out what was fast becoming a very tough selling environment.  As a result of the success in 2010 Steven and his wife Annette decided to invest heavily to grow the business in 2011.  The goal was to build a client support and marketing team to offer a new and innovative approach to real estate.  The mission was to work harder AND smarter to provide the very best service results possible.

The investment paid off, our team saw massive sales growth in 2011.  A year we all know, was very poor for real estate sales in general. The team won many awards in 2011 for sales over achievement and customer service. This year we plan to grow our satisfied client base again.  For 2012 we have tripled the 2011 marketing budget and brought one of the top REALTORS© in the Century 21 system on to the team:

With 20 years of sales achievement and customer service excellence Allen is the consummate professional.

Allen grew up on the farm in Alberta and was an entrepreneur at a young age, buying his first farm at just 18 years old!  He grew the farm to 7,000 acres and began to use the profits to buy Real Estate.   Allen is a hard working man who still has a strong entrepreneurial streak.  So it was only natural when he moved to the Okanagan Allen would want to stay in the business world and thus he became a Realtor.    He has been a perennial award winner for sales & customer service ever since.

Annette-Jensen Bergg: 

A Passion for people and an intuition for finding homes. 

You could say Annette was destined to end up in real estate after moving homes 18 times! This includes moving out or country six times and out of province twice!  Born in Edmonton and raised both in Alberta and Denmark, Annette developed a passion for travel early in her life.  In 1988 she became a flight attendant and has seen much of the world with both Canadian Airlines and Air Canada.   On a trip to Hawaii in 1991 she met Steven, and ten months later they were married. Steven & Annette have three children and for several years Annette put her career on the back burner to be a Mom. 

In 2010 Annette decided to become a licensed Real Estate professional in order to assist Steven in what was fast becoming a very busy practice.  She personally manages many aspects of the business and her passion for helping people has become one of the hallmarks of our customer service.   Annette has also discovered an uncanny ability to find homes that match our client’s needs perfectly.  Every time she has called to tell clients that she has found their dream home, often to the surprise & delight of the buyers ...  she has been right!

Annette is the Licensed Assistant for the Bergg Homes Team and we are fortunate that she is there to take care of so many important details.  She can do the same for you too. Donna Webb. Conveyance Person:

Once the home is sold Donna will liaise with the lawyer for both parties.  There are literally hundreds of things that can make a deal fall apart even after an offer has been accepted.  Donna makes sure 99% of these issues are dealt with before they are a problem and our clients are not even aware.  If there is an issue she lets us know in time to deal with it proactively on your behalf.
