Are you preparing your home for the winter - TIP#1?

Install a programmable thermostat: When properly set, a programmable thermostat can reduce heating and cooling costs by up to 10 per cent. Set your thermostat to 20°C when you're at home and 18°C when sleeping or away.

    Thanks for the tip Stewart. My first time blogging.

    I use my programmable thermostat as well but not to your settings.
    I feel that 18 degrees at night is too cold for my family. I fond my daughter always complaining it is too cold. Her bedroom of course is above the garage. 

    But here is a tip for you.
    Every winter I put clear plastic coverings over the inside of the windows. This helps keep the draft out. Just a thought for your readers. Thanks, Stan L.
