As an experienced real estate mentor I look for a few key qualities among my team and work to support and hone without which a real estate salesperson is incomplete are discussed below:

  • Math Skills: Since clients look up to you for advice to get the best deal it is crucial for you to get the numbers right and be quick when measuring structures, vacant land, appraising property and arranging mortgage financing.

  • Research: A practical knowledge of how to locate, read, and understand legal documents involving property ownership.

  • Organization and Planning: If you are organised building rapport with the client becomes easy.  An ability to organize and answering questions of clients promptly, being on time for showings small things like this enhance the trust of your client.

  • Confidence: At all times sound confident this could a deal achievers quality. as in real estate sales in order to be successful you have to learn to accept broken deal due to mortgage or sometimes refusals.

  • Problem Solving Skills: Coming up with a quick resolution for your clients can help you to be the most trustworthy real estate sales professional. So always when you ask your client for their demand have backup plans.

  • Computer Knowledge: Basic computer knowledge comes very handy especially if you have a website it helps add value to your credibility; as more than 80% clients search a real estate salesperson on google before consultation. Also if you recommend an application or a mortgage calculation tool from an ipad you carry for a client meeting the clients connect effectively.

  • English: It is very essential to speak English fluently. As it is very important for you and your client to be on the same page and understand real estate agreements, listings, and other forms. Real estate registrants must ensure that documents are correctly prepared and properly reflect the position of the parties.

  • Negotiating Skills: It is very important to do the math quickly and negotiate a deal on behalf of buyers and sellers to arrive at mutually agreeable terms.
