Amalgamation or annexation talks between the RM and the Town of Lac du Bonnet were held on Dec. 10th in the Lac du bonnet Chambers council. The Province of Manitoba has asked RM's and Towns in Manitoba to investigate the possibility of amalgamations during the next 12 month. I personally believe that there has to be some tax savings for both parties as duplication of services and centralization ...

Single Family Home units sales are up slightly in 2012, with a 2% increase over 2011 YTD and a 17% increase over 2010.
The Sales Median has dipped slightly, however the overall $$ volume sales are up by 10% YTD.
