East Kildonan, Winnipeg, MB, Canada Real Estate Listings and Information

East Kildonan is located on the east bank of the Red River, opposite West Kildonan. The community is bisected by Raleigh St and Gateway Rd, which straddle a northbound rail line. East Kildonan is made up of the neighbourhoods of Munroe, Morse Place, Rossmere, and Fraser's Grove. It is mainly a working and middle class community with more affluent areas along the Red River and west of Henderson Highway , East Kildonan's major thoroughfare. There is a small industrial area located between Watt Street and the CPR tracks.

For the lifestyle choice of condominiums, East Kildonan offers many condo community choices, with styles to suit every taste and budget. They are located throughout the area with easy access to all the amenities and transportation offered in this neighbourhood.

East Kildonan is managed by two school divisions, the River East Transcona School Division and the Winnipeg School Division. In the River East Transcona School Division there consists of eight schools in total, five elementary schools, one elementary/middle school, one middle school and one high school. There are a number of small plazas along Henderson Highway in the west of the community, and along Nairn Ave on the southern edge. The area's mega-mall is Kildonan Place, only 10 minutes to the southeast.

The community has a wide range of recreational opportunities. There is the Kil-Cona Regional Park with its lakes on the eastern edge of the community, several parks along the Red River, including Fraser's Grove, and a series of parks running the length of Bunn's Creek though the northern part of the community.  Cross country skiers can ski at Kil-Cona Regional Park, along Bunn's Creek and at Frasers Grove Park. There are three community centres within East Kildonan; Bronx Park Community Centre, Kelvin Community Centre (managed by Bronx Park), Chalmers Community Centre. These community centres provide indoor and outdoor recreational and leisure activities all year.
