Currently I am an active board member of the Beausejour and District Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber is a wonderful resource for Business owners in our community. Along with being a board member I am also the representative for the chamber on the Beausejour Brokenhead Development Corporation and the Regional Health Committee.
As Scribe for the Beausejour Brokenhead Emergency Measures my duties include a lot of note taking and being very organized. This is a great organization and is there to provide support to the community in the event of an emergency.
I am a proud supporter of Brokenhead River Community Foundation and with every sale I donate. What a wonderful program that donates money back into the community. The Brokenhead River Community Foundation is a collection of funds and resources given by caring citizens who have chosen to make their community a better place to live and work, now and in the future. Community Foundations are very special non-profit organizations. The Foundation is dedicated to providing grants back into our local community and making it a much better place.
I have lived in the Beausejour area for many years and attended and graduated high school here. I moved away to Regina Saskathewan for a seven year period and then came back to my roots.
I live in Beasejour with my children Graham and Nicholas. My daughter Lindsay graduated from the University of Manitoba and has moved to Edmonton Alberta. She graduated in May 2012 from the Faculty of Architecture. In the summer of 2009 she was accepted into a travel studies program and travelled to Ghana Africa to help design and renovate an all girls school. She also enjoys some preforming. Spending may days at fairs and public events. She has been hired by companies for Christmas parties and hired for weddings and summer fairs. She also has made the cover of a magazine put out by Red River Community Collage. In June 2014 she was married at the Winnipeg Art Gallary.
My daughter Lauren has Graduated in June 2012 from Manitoba Emergency Services Collage from the Public Fire Paramedic Program in Brandon Manitoba. She worked hard to get accepted into this program. Currently she is employed with the City of Winnipeg as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Lauren is also a volunteer at the Beausejour Brokenhead Fire Hall and also has some training background to help the future volunteers learn new skills. In September 2014 she was married just north of Garson at Hawthorne Estates. Lauren was selected to be in the 2018 Burn Fund Calendar. She will be the month of October in the 2018 Calendar. Don't forget to grab one and support this wonderful cause.
Graham finished his first year at Red River Community Collage in Automotive Repair and Refinishing. He is currently working in Beausejour and will be applying to get into the apprentice program and continue his studies.
Nicholas has finished grade 11 and started his first job at Co-op grocery store. Next year grade 12 and Grad.
I love spending time with my children and friends. Time at the cabin..... the seadoos, kayaking and fishing. I'm not fond of tubing but the kids love it. I also really enjoy the community events that I volunteer for. The Beausejour and District Chamber of Commerce and The Beausejour Brokenhead Emergency Measures have been wonderful opportunity for me to not only help the community but to also meet many new and interesting people. When time permits I love to read.
