The upcoming 49TH ANNUAL CANADIAN POWER TOBOGGAN CHAMPIONSHIPS sponsored by Pepsi and Buy & Sell is scheduled for March 5 & 6, 2011 and promises to be an exciting grand finale to the 2010-2011 race season. Racers from all over Canada and the U.S. will compete for top spot on Beausejour’s popular 1/2 mile ice oval track, renowned for its speed and safety. Hot laps are scheduled for 9:00 a.m. both days, with racing slated to get underway on Saturday and Sunday at 11:00 a.m. We are expecting our usual full contingent of race classes again this year.
We will also be holding the popular Kitty Kat and 120 Classes for the kids. For more information, please click on the CPTC Kids section in the left margin.
ONLINE REGISTRATION via the internet is NOW OPEN. Please be advised that DRIVER REGISTRATION CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2, 2011.
PRACTICE is scheduled for Friday, March 4, 2011 between 10:00 a.m. and noon, and 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
DRIVER SIGN-IN will be held on FRIDAY, MARCH 4, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the BEAUSEJOUR RECREATIONAL COMPLEX, followed at 7:00 p.m. by the ever-popular FRIDAY NIGHT CALCUTTA where bidders place their “confidence” on their favoite drivers in the Pro Champ 440 and Vintage Mod 440 classes. ADMISSION IS FREE! As always, a hot meal will be available between 5:00 and 7:30 p.m. The menu this year includes a steak sandwich served on garlic toast with baked potato and coleslaw for $10, a quarter-pound cheeseburger with fries for $6, and for kids 8 and under, chicken nuggets and fries for $5.
NEW THIS YEAR: CPTC is proud to announce its participation in the 2011 CANADIAN TRIPLE CROWN in conjunction with Valcourt, Quebec and Eganville, Ontario. A guaranteed purse of $9,000 will be presented at the Beausejour race to the 3 top points earners in the Pro Champ 440 class who have competed at all three venues. This is in addition to Beausejour’s regular 100% prize money pay-out.

Our SUNDAY NIGHT AWARDS PRESENTATION will again take place at the Beausejour Recreational Complex immediately following the completion of the races. As usual, a hot roast beef dinner with all the trimmings will be available. ADMISSION IS FREE!
